What the generator does
This generator picks a complete Irish Lotto line for you: six different numbers between 1 and 47. Every number has exactly the same chance of being selected, and no number can appear twice in the same line. You can create as many lines as you need and copy the ones you want to use.
How Irish Lotto works
Irish Lotto is the main lotto game in Ireland. Players choose six numbers from 1 to 47. In each draw, six main numbers are drawn, followed by a bonus number taken from the remaining balls. The bonus number is not something you choose separately; it simply helps decide some of the lower prize tiers. Draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday. To win the jackpot, all six of your numbers must match the six main numbers drawn.

Why random picks are as good as any
Every Irish Lotto draw is independent of the ones before it. The balls have no memory, so a number that was drawn last time is not more likely to come up again, and a number that has been missing for a while is not due. A line such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 has exactly the same chance as any other.
What your choice can affect is how many other players pick the same numbers. Birthdays, anniversaries and neat patterns are very popular, which means those lines are more likely to be shared if they win. A random line avoids these habits and may reduce the chance of splitting a prize. It does not change your chance of winning.
